ParticipantOgunlende Says it Acknowledges Sanwo-Olu’s Commitment to Youth Development Programs
Over the weekend, precisely, Saturday 20th May, 2023, Lagos State was awarded the prestigious NYSC Sustainability Award at a Dinner/Award Night held in Abuja, the FCT as part of activities to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Receiving the award on behalf of the Lagos State Governor was his Special Adviser on Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende who also doubles as the Chairman, NYSC Board, Lagos State.
The Award was earned as a result of the Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State government’s unflinching support for the NYSC and its programs. A fact that was echoed by Mr. Ogunlende on his social media handles.
According to him;
“Lagos, known as a center of excellence in contemporary development, remains committed to supporting and empowering the youth through various platforms, including the NYSC. The state has consistently shown its dedication to the cause of national development.
“This award acknowledges the Governor’s outstanding contributions and commitment to the sustainability of the NYSC program.”
In furtherance, Mr. Ogunlende reiterated the unwavering resolve of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to continue on that trajectory, leveraging on and combining existing platforms with new advancements to enhance the NYSC initiatives and other youth programs towards achieving the vision of a Greater Lagos Rising.
“As an administration, we remain dedicated to supporting and enhancing NYSC initiatives, leveraging advanced technology and systems to create a sustainable future that promotes and empowers our youth.
“The commitment of the state is unwavering in further advancing the NYSC program and ensuring a bright future for our young people.
“Together, we will continue to work towards a prosperous and united Nigeria, where the contributions of our youth are valued and celebrated.”
The occasion was graced by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha (CFR).
